Diwan

Diwan is the Levantine-international restaurant of Al Bahar Hotel & Resort on the Fujairah City Corniche. The room is the city-side answer to the Al Aqah cluster — less theatrical, more neighbourhood-anchored, and the preferred dining room for Fujairah residents and visiting Abu Dhabi families.

The dining space is a two-part layout: an indoor dining hall with traditional Arabic banquette seating, and an outdoor shisha terrace that opens to the Corniche. Capacity is about 140 across both spaces. The cooking threads Lebanese mezze, Emirati grill, and international plates (burgers, pasta, pizza). The mezze programme is the strongest element — forty cold and hot plates, with the hummus, tabbouleh, and fattoush at near-Beirut standard.

The grill programme runs shish tawook, kafta halabiya, whole hammour baked in salt, and a mixed-grill platter that is the group-dinner order. Desserts are Levantine — knafeh, mohalabieh, baklava — alongside a chocolate programme for the international crowd.

The shisha terrace is the room's social heart, with twelve mixes available and the terrace open until 1 AM on weekends. The wine list is modest but the Lebanese sleeve is credible (Château Musar, Ixsir, Massaya). Service is warm and family-paced. Reservations are rarely essential except for group tables on weekend evenings.

Diwan is the team-dinner and birthday room for a Fujairah City stay or a day-trip from Abu Dhabi. The Corniche terrace's long tables, the mezze-platter model, the shisha finish, the unhurried service — all built for groups. Book the terrace six-top or eight-top two days ahead. For solo dinners, the indoor bar-counter is welcoming; for a casual first date, the Corniche-facing two-top is the quieter pick.
