Best Hotel Restaurants in Rome 2026

Restaurants inside hotels · Rome · 6 rooms ranked · Updated June 2026

Rome keeps its only three-Michelin-star kitchen on the ninth floor of a hotel, which tells you that in this city the grandest dining rooms and the best hotels are often the same address. The starred rooms run from Heinz Beck's institution above Monte Mario to a clutch of rooftops around the Spanish Steps that look out at St Peter's, the Colosseum and the whole centre. Here is who each room suits, what to order, and how to book it. Six, ranked on the kitchen, the room and the occasion rather than the hotel name alone.

1.La Pergola

Modern Mediterranean · Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria · Three Michelin stars

Heinz Beck's three-star room atop the Cavalieri, the only three-star in Rome. Save it for the most important dinner you will have in the city.

La Pergola is Heinz Beck's restaurant on the ninth floor of the Rome Cavalieri, a Waldorf Astoria hotel at Via Alberto Cadlolo 101 on Monte Mario, the only three-Michelin-star restaurant in Rome and held since 2005. The signature fagottelli La Pergola, little pasta parcels filled with carbonara, are non-negotiable, and the tasting menus run from around 295 to 350 euros. The view over the city at dusk is part of the meal. Reserve a month ahead, dress for it, and take a window table.

Book on the Cavalieri site weeks ahead; order the fagottelli.

2.Acquolina

Seafood · The First Roma Arte · Two Michelin stars

Daniele Lippi's two-star seafood room inside The First, near Piazza del Popolo. The pick for Rome's most serious fish tasting.

Acquolina is chef Daniele Lippi's restaurant inside The First Roma Arte hotel at Via del Vantaggio 14, near Piazza del Popolo, raised to two Michelin stars in the 2026 Guide. The cooking is maritime and precise, built around the Periplo seafood tasting at around 240 euros for seven courses. It is the city's strongest hotel fish kitchen and a calmer, more contemporary room than the grand terraces. Reserve a week or two ahead and take the Periplo with the pairing.

Book on The First site; take the Periplo tasting.

3.Enoteca La Torre

Campanian · Villa Laetitia · Two Michelin stars

Domenico Stile's two-star room in a Liberty villa on the Tiber. The pick for refined southern Italian cooking in a jewel-box setting.

Enoteca La Torre sits inside Villa Laetitia, a 1911 villa hotel on the Tiber at Lungotevere delle Armi 22 in the Prati district, where chef Domenico Stile has held two Michelin stars cooking a contemporary Campanian menu. The stucco-and-column room is one of the prettiest dining rooms in Rome, and the tasting menus run from around 200 to 250 euros. Reserve a week or two ahead, take the longer tasting, and ask for a table in the main hall.

Book on the restaurant site; take the six-course tasting.

4.Imàgo

Contemporary Italian · Hotel Hassler · One Michelin star

The Hassler's starred room at the top of the Spanish Steps, with the best dining-room view in Rome. Book it for the panorama and a confident kitchen.

Imàgo crowns the Hotel Hassler at Piazza Trinita dei Monti 6, at the top of the Spanish Steps, with a sixth-floor window view across the rooftops to St Peter's that no other dining room in Rome matches. Chef Andrea Antonini holds a Michelin star with a contemporary Italian menu, with a five-course tasting from around 150 euros and a vegetarian one from 130. The view is the headline, but the kitchen earns its star. Reserve a window table two weeks ahead for sunset.

Book on the Hassler site; ask for a window table at sunset.

5.Aroma

Roman-Mediterranean · Palazzo Manfredi · One Michelin star

Giuseppe Di Iorio's starred rooftop staring straight at the Colosseum. The pick for the most romantic hotel table in the city.

Aroma is the rooftop restaurant of Palazzo Manfredi at Via Labicana 125, a twenty-eight-seat room and terrace with the Colosseum filling the windows. Chef Giuseppe Di Iorio holds a Michelin star cooking Roman tradition with a Campanian hand, with a seven-course tasting at around 150 euros. The view is the most theatrical in Rome, which makes this the romantic-occasion booking. Reserve a terrace table well ahead and time it so the Colosseum lights up at dusk.

Book on the Palazzo Manfredi site; ask for a Colosseum-facing table.

6.La Terrazza

Mediterranean · Hotel Eden, Dorchester Collection · One Michelin star

The Hotel Eden's rooftop, newly starred in late 2025, with a sweep over the city. The pick for a polished view dinner near the Spanish Steps.

La Terrazza is the rooftop restaurant of the Hotel Eden, a Dorchester Collection hotel at Via Ludovisi 49 above the Spanish Steps, where executive chef Salvatore Bianco earned a Michelin star in November 2025. The kitchen cooks a seasonal Mediterranean menu, and the draw is a polished room with a sweep over the centre of Rome. Reserve a window or terrace table ahead and take the tasting at sunset for the light over the city.

Book on the Hotel Eden site; ask for a terrace table at sunset.

Lovely terrace, no star

Mirabelle at the Hotel Splendide Royal has a beautiful view of Trinita dei Monti but trades on the panorama and holds no Michelin star. Go for an aperitivo on the terrace, then book one of the starred rooms above for dinner.

Good, but not a headliner

Adelaide at the Hotel Vilon cooks confident Roman classics and is genuinely inside a hotel, but it sits a tier below the starred rooms here. Worth it for a relaxed dinner, not for a landmark night.

How to book a hotel table in Rome

La Pergola at the Cavalieri is the hardest table in the city and the only three-star, so book it a month ahead, dress for it, and ask for a window. The two-star rooms, Acquolina at The First and Enoteca La Torre at Villa Laetitia, take reservations a week or two out and reward the longer tasting.

For a view dinner, the rooftops cluster around the Spanish Steps: Imàgo at the Hassler looks across to St Peter's, Aroma at Palazzo Manfredi stares at the Colosseum, and La Terrazza at the Hotel Eden sweeps the centre. Book a window or terrace table ahead and time it for sunset; if you are marking an occasion, say so when you book.

Frequently asked

What is the best hotel restaurant in Rome?

La Pergola at the Rome Cavalieri is our top hotel restaurant for 2026. It is Heinz Beck's three-Michelin-star room on the ninth floor at Via Alberto Cadlolo 101, the only three-star in Rome, famous for fagottelli La Pergola filled with carbonara. Tasting menus run from around 295 euros, so book a month ahead and dress for the occasion.

Which Rome hotel has a Michelin-starred restaurant?

Several do. The Rome Cavalieri holds three stars at La Pergola, The First Roma Arte holds two at Acquolina, Villa Laetitia holds two at Enoteca La Torre, and the Hassler, Palazzo Manfredi and Hotel Eden each hold one, at Imàgo, Aroma and La Terrazza. Book the two- and three-star rooms one to four weeks ahead.

Which Rome hotel restaurant has the best view?

Imàgo at the Hassler has the finest dining-room view in Rome, across the rooftops to St Peter's from the top of the Spanish Steps. Aroma at Palazzo Manfredi looks straight at the Colosseum, and La Terrazza at the Hotel Eden sweeps the centre. For a view dinner, book a window or terrace table at any of the three and time it for sunset.

Are Rome hotel restaurants open to non-guests?

Yes. Every restaurant on this list welcomes the public, not only hotel guests, and they take reservations through the hotel or the restaurant's own site. La Pergola and the two-star rooms fill their best tables well ahead, so book one to four weeks out depending on the room rather than relying on a walk-in.

How much do Rome hotel restaurants cost?

Plan on around 295 to 350 euros for the tasting menus at La Pergola, and roughly 200 to 250 euros at the two-star rooms, Acquolina and Enoteca La Torre. The one-star rooftops, Imàgo, Aroma and La Terrazza, run nearer 150 euros for a tasting. Wine pairings and ordering a la carte will move those figures up.
