But the lake-level rooms are terraces, not rooftops, and the genuine roofs tell a harsher story: of the six worth naming, only one, Izumi at the Four Seasons, runs a kitchen you would cross town for. The only Geneva rooftop with a destination kitchen, not just a view and a snack menu; go for the cooking.
Chef Toshikazu Kato, trained in Tokyo and seasoned across the Nobu-influenced Four Seasons kitchens, runs the most serious rooftop kitchen in the city. The Black Cod Miso Zuke and a spiny-lobster thermidor anchor a Nikkei menu that crosses Japanese precision with Peruvian heat; the ten-course tasting is CHF 135, mains CHF 40 to 60, and a lunch formula opens at CHF 68. Eight floors above Rue du Rhône in the Rues-Basses shopping core, Rooftop°42 is one of the few central Geneva roofs built around a kitchen rather than a DJ booth. 3.MET Rooftop Lounge

On the fifth floor of the classic Hôtel Métropole, the MET looks straight over the Jardin Anglais to Lake Geneva and the Saint-Pierre Cathedral, the most central lake panorama on this list. More than 300 square metres of terrace make it the city's default sunset room, and unlike the seasonal roofs it runs through winter with cosy indoor sessions. The kitchen is tapas-led rather than a full dinner service: refined small plates, a wide Swiss and global gin selection, and cocktails around CHF 23. 4.Suite 1201

Twelve floors up on the Geneva Marriott out by Cointrin, Suite 1201 is the highest rooftop in the city and the only one with the airport, the lake and the surrounding mountains in one sweep. It is a seasonal, drinks-first room, open from late April to October, where mixology meets a soul-food menu that runs from a Swiss cheese board to fried calamari, with cocktails around CHF 23. The Rooftop Guide ranks it the city's top rooftop for 2026. It works mostly on a first-come basis, with reservations for groups of ten or more. 5.Ruby Claire Hotel & Bar

On the top floor of a former industrial building in the Praille district, Rooftop 105 is the city's loosest, most local roof, looking over the rooftops to the Jura mountains and Mont Salève. Bayview by Michel Roth (Hotel President Wilson). Geneva's headline lakeside dinner, a Michelin-starred room from chef Michel Roth, but it sits at hotel level with a lakeside terrace, not a rooftop. Book it for the food, just not as a roof.
Rive Droite (Hotel President). The first-floor terrace and beach-club pool look out over the lake and Mont Blanc, but it is a daytime lounge with a heated pool, not a rooftop dinner. Save it for a summer afternoon.
