Joe Fortes has anchored the corner of Thurlow and Robson since 1985, and above the brass-and-banquette dining room sits one of the city's longest-running rooftop sun decks, a planted downtown terrace that fills the moment the sun is out. Tap & Barrel's Convention Centre location runs one of the largest waterfront patios in the city, a multi-level deck on the Coal Harbour side of the Convention Centre looking straight at the seaplane terminal, the cruise ships and the North Shore. The kitchen keeps it casual and West Coast, wood-fired pizzas, burgers and bowls built around BC beer and a local wine list on tap.
