Best Brunch Restaurants in Tampa 2026

Brunch · Tampa · 6 tables ranked · Updated June 2026

Tampa brunch runs on two clocks. In Hyde Park it is a slow, light-filled affair, anchored by Oxford Exchange and its glass conservatory, where shakshuka and a flat white stretch into the afternoon. In Ybor City and West Tampa it is older and richer, built on the Cuban bread, cafe con leche and pressed sandwiches that came off the cigar-factory blocks a century ago. There is no deep bottomless-mimosa culture here, though Ybor has its buffet-and-DJ rooms if that is the morning you want. The real hazard is the summer heat, which sends everyone indoors or under cover by noon, and weekend waits that stack up fast at the walk-in spots. Six Tampa tables, ranked.

1.Oxford Exchange

Cafe · New American · Hyde Park · ~$20

Tampa's signature daytime room, a glass conservatory of shakshuka and pastries; book it for a slow weekend brunch.

Oxford Exchange occupies a restored 1891 building across from the University of Tampa, part bookshop and part restaurant, with its all-day brunch served under the glass roof of a plant-filled conservatory. The kitchen runs shakshuka, ricotta toast, a buttermilk biscuit sandwich and house pastries, with most plates roughly $14 to $24 and afternoon tea on weekends. Open Monday to Friday from 7:30am and weekends from 8am until 5:30pm, it is the city's calmest, most photographed brunch room. Reserve on OpenTable or put your name in early, then take a table in the conservatory and let the morning run long.

Book it for a relaxed, daylight brunch with pastries, tea and a bookshop to browse.  |  Skip it if you want bottomless mimosas, loud music and a party scene.

2.Columbia Restaurant

Spanish · Cuban · Ybor City · ~$28

Florida's oldest restaurant pours sangria and Cuban classics in tiled Ybor rooms; go for a long, celebratory brunch.

The Columbia has anchored Ybor City's 7th Avenue since 1905, a block-long warren of hand-painted tile, fountains and flamenco that is the oldest restaurant in Florida. Open daily from 11am, it serves Spanish and Cuban plates: the 1905 salad tossed tableside, Cuban sandwiches, paella and arroz con pollo, with most mains roughly $18 to $36 and a famous tableside sangria. It is the city's grand-occasion brunch-into-lunch table, a heritage room that rewards a slow, full meal. Reserve on OpenTable, ask for a table in one of the historic dining rooms, and order the 1905 salad and a Cuban sandwich.

Book it for Cuban heritage, tableside sangria and a celebration with a big group.  |  Skip it if you want a quiet, light, eggs-and-coffee morning.

3.Ulele

Native Floridian · Tampa Heights · ~$26

Charbroiled oysters and house beer in a 1903 riverside waterworks; take a patio table on the Riverwalk.

Ulele fills a restored 1903 waterworks building on the Hillsborough River at the north end of the Tampa Riverwalk, a Gonzmart family room with a riverside patio and an on-site spring brewery. Open from 11am on weekends, it cooks native-inspired Florida food on a 10-foot barbacoa grill, with charbroiled oysters, gator hush puppies and brunch-leaning plates alongside the lunch menu, most around $16 to $34. It plays like a riverside brewpub-meets-dining-hall, easy and outdoors. Reserve on OpenTable, take a table on the river patio, and order the charbroiled oysters with a house-brewed beer.

Book it for a riverside patio, native-Floridian plates and a fresh house lager.  |  Skip it if you need a classic eggs-Benedict brunch menu or full air conditioning.

4.Willa's

New American · North Hyde Park · ~$22

A bright neighborhood room doing scratch weekend brunch off a wood hearth; reserve for Saturday or Sunday late morning.

Willa's anchors a corner of North Hyde Park at Fig and Rome, a sunny neighborhood restaurant and bar with an adjacent cafe called Willa's Provisions. Its weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm, with a scratch kitchen turning out wood-fired plates, biscuits, egg dishes and a strong cocktail and coffee program, most plates roughly $14 to $26. It is the newer, food-first answer to the Hyde Park brunch crowd, low-key and well sourced. Reserve on Resy, take a table near the open kitchen, and pair the biscuits with a hearth-cooked plate and a morning cocktail.

Book it for a modern, scratch-cooked neighborhood brunch with good coffee and cocktails.  |  Skip it if you want a historic room or a Cuban-heritage menu.

5.7th + Grove

Southern · Soul food · Ybor City · ~$30

Southern brunch with a buffet, DJ and bottomless mimosas in Ybor; book the Saturday party brunch with friends.

7th + Grove sits on 7th Avenue in Ybor City, a stylish Southern and soul-food room that turns Saturday brunch into an event. Its buffet brunch pairs a full Southern spread with unlimited mimosas, a live DJ and a lounge party feel, while the kitchen also runs chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and indulgent plates a la carte, most roughly $18 to $34. It is Ybor's go-to bottomless-and-beats brunch, more scene than quiet meal. Book ahead for the Saturday buffet, bring a group, and settle in for mimosas, a DJ and Southern comfort food.

6.Gaspar's Grotto

Cuban · Pub · Ybor City · ~$22

A pirate-themed Ybor pub running a Sunday Cuban buffet brunch; drop in for an unfussy boozy Sunday.

Gaspar's Grotto is a pirate-themed Cuban bar and restaurant on Ybor's 7th Avenue, open every day and built around live music and a big outdoor courtyard. Its Sunday Booze Cruise Brunch runs 11am to 3pm with a long buffet, mimosas and Bloody Marys, alongside a regular menu of Cuban sandwiches, empanadas and bar food, most plates roughly $14 to $28. It is the casual, no-reservation-needed end of the Ybor brunch scene, loud and easygoing. Drop in on a Sunday, grab a courtyard table, and work through the buffet with a Bloody Mary.

Book it for a casual, walk-in Sunday Cuban buffet with mimosas and live music.  |  Skip it if you want refined plates, a quiet room or a reservation guarantee.

Avoid for brunch

Closed, not coming back

Datz and The Hall on Franklin. Both were Tampa brunch fixtures, but Datz shut its South Tampa room in 2023 and its last location in St. Pete in 2025, and The Hall on Franklin closed years ago. Old listings still float around online, so do not plan a morning around either; book one of the six rooms above instead.

No real brunch service

Edison: Food + Drink Lab. Jeannie Pierola's lab on West Kennedy is one of Tampa's best kitchens, but it runs dinner only, with no brunch or weekend daytime service. Save it for an evening tasting and take your brunch plans to Oxford Exchange or Willa's nearby.

Chains over the independents

First Watch and Cooper's Hawk. Both run perfectly fine Tampa-area brunches, but they are national chains you can find anywhere. With Oxford Exchange, Columbia and Willa's on the table, spend your weekend morning on a room that is actually Tampa.

Booking a Tampa brunch

Tampa brunch splits by neighborhood and by mood. The Hyde Park rooms, Oxford Exchange and Willa's, are the quiet, food-first end and both take reservations through OpenTable and Resy; the Ybor City rooms run louder, with Columbia and Ulele bookable online and Gaspar's Grotto and 7th + Grove leaning on walk-ins and buffet-brunch sign-ups. Decide first whether you want a calm conservatory table or a bottomless-mimosa party, because they are very different mornings.

Weekend waits are the main obstacle. By late morning on a Saturday or Sunday the walk-in rooms can run past an hour, so aim for a table before 11am or after 1pm, or reserve where you can. Tip around 20 percent, and remember the buffet brunches are usually a fixed per-person price with mimosas included. From June through September the heat and afternoon storms make the air-conditioned and covered rooms the safer mid-day choice, so ask for indoor or shaded patio seating when you book.

Frequently asked

What is the best brunch in Tampa?

Oxford Exchange in Hyde Park is the standout. Set in a restored 1891 building beside the University of Tampa, its sunlit glass conservatory serves an all-day weekend brunch of shakshuka, ricotta toast and pastries until 5pm, with most plates around $14 to $24. Walk-ins fill the conservatory fast on weekend mornings, so put your name in early or reserve a table on OpenTable.

Where can you get Cuban brunch in Tampa?

Ybor City is the heart of Tampa's Cuban brunch. The Columbia Restaurant, Florida's oldest, serves Spanish and Cuban plates from 11am daily, and Gaspar's Grotto runs a Sunday Cuban brunch with mimosas and Bloody Marys. La Segunda's Ybor cafe is the spot for cafe con leche and a Cuban toast. Most plates run $12 to $30, and weekend tables fill by noon.

Does Tampa have bottomless brunch?

Yes, though it is not as dominant as in some cities. Gaspar's Grotto and 7th + Grove in Ybor City run lively weekend brunches with unlimited-mimosa buffets, a DJ and a party feel. The Hyde Park rooms, Oxford Exchange and Willa's, lean quieter and food-first, with mimosas by the glass rather than bottomless. Pick the scene you want before you book.

How much does brunch cost in Tampa?

Plan on roughly $20 to $40 a head before drinks at most of these rooms. Cafe and counter plates at Oxford Exchange and Columbia run about $12 to $24, while the buffet brunches at Gaspar's Grotto and 7th + Grove are priced per person with mimosas included. Add a 20 percent tip, and budget more for the bottomless-mimosa packages on weekends.

Do you need a reservation for brunch in Tampa?

For weekend brunch, yes, where you can. Oxford Exchange, Columbia, Ulele and Willa's take reservations through OpenTable or Resy, and weekend waits at the walk-in rooms can run past an hour by late morning. Gaspar's Grotto and 7th + Grove suggest booking ahead for their buffet brunches. Aim for a table before 11am or after 1pm to dodge the peak.

What time is brunch served in Tampa?

Most Tampa brunch runs from late morning into mid-afternoon. Oxford Exchange serves all-day weekend brunch until 5pm, Willa's runs 11am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday, and Gaspar's Grotto pours its Sunday brunch from 11am to 3pm. Columbia and Ulele open at 11am for weekend lunch and brunch plates. Summer heat makes the air-conditioned and covered rooms the safer mid-day bet.
