A team dinner in Bali is about the room and the layout: a private dining room for forty, a garden long table, or a modular space that splits a retreat into sections. Cuca in Jimbaran publishes capacities most Bali kitchens keep vague; Metis in Seminyak buys out for a crowd. These six, ranked, are where to book a group across the island.
1.Cuca
Kevin Cherkas's Jimbaran kitchen publishes a forty-seat private room and a 250-cover buyout; book the best-run team dinner on Bali.
Cuca sits in Jimbaran, where chef Kevin Cherkas, who trained at elBulli and Arzak, has cooked globally-minded, locally-sourced tapas since 2013 with co-founder Virginia Entizne. It is the rare Bali venue with published group numbers: a private dining room for forty, a dining room for a hundred and ten, a garden for a hundred, and a full buyout to 250.
The baked scallop and the ricotta gnocchi are the dishes to share, with a chef's tasting around 880,000 rupiah a head. Dedicated corporate-events and group menus make it the most organised team room in Bali. Book the private room for a leadership dinner, or the garden for the whole retreat.
2.Metis
Nicolas Tourneville's garden compound near Seminyak seats around 350; book Metis for the team dinner that needs a full buyout.
Metis spreads across a garden compound in Kerobokan near Seminyak, where chef Nicolas Tourneville has run French-Mediterranean fine dining since 2009 alongside a lounge and gallery. With a footprint near 350 seats and a dedicated private dining venue, it is the largest-capacity option on this list.
The kitchen leans on foie gras, duck and seafood in a classic register, with dinner in the upper band for the island. This is the room when a company dinner or a conference night needs to seat everyone at once. Book the private venue for a section, or the compound for a full buyout.
3.Sangsaka
A Seminyak room of modular spaces hides a private room for eighteen; book it for a wood-fired team dinner that scales.
Sangsaka in Seminyak cooks modern Indonesian over several woods, built around smoke, spice and balance across a 60-seat venue. The layout is the draw for a group: a main room for about fifty, a private dining room for eighteen, a terrace for fifteen, and the Diatas rooftop bar for canape events.
The wood-fired regional plates are the centre of a sharing menu, with dinner roughly 500,000 to 700,000 rupiah a head. The modular rooms make it easy to run a leadership dinner and a wider team night in the same building. Book the private room for the core table and hold the terrace for the rest.
4.Sundara
The Four Seasons beach club at Jimbaran Bay runs mezzanine private rooms; book it for a team dinner on the sand.
Sundara is the Four Seasons beachfront restaurant and beach club on Jimbaran Bay, with a 57-metre pool running toward the water and a kitchen built around Mediterranean plates, seafood and a seafood barbecue. The air-conditioned dining room takes up to a hundred, and mezzanine private rooms seat fourteen each or forty in the larger space.
The over-water Sunday brunch and the seafood barbecue are the set-pieces a group books around, at a premium resort price. A chef's table and full buyouts run through the events team. Book a mezzanine room for a leadership dinner, or the terrace at sunset for the whole team.
5.Locavore NXT
Eelke Plasmeijer and Ray Adriansyah's five-floor Ubud room is buyout-capable; book it for the retreat that wants Bali's best tasting menu.
Locavore NXT sits in the Lodtunduh rice fields outside Ubud, the purpose-built successor to the original Locavore, which closed in central Ubud in 2022. Co-founders Eelke Plasmeijer and Ray Adriansyah run a closed-loop tasting menu across five floors, with a food-forest rooftop, a fermentation lab and a mushroom vault.
The set tasting, The Source, runs around 2,200,000 rupiah a head. It placed at number 92 on Asia's 50 Best in 2025 and is the destination dinner of any Ubud retreat. The building is buyout-capable; enquire for group numbers and book the whole floor for a leadership team.
6.Mozaic
Chris Salans's Ubud room offers a chef's table and a cellar lounge; book it for a classic fine-dining team dinner.
Mozaic has cooked French gastronomy fused with Balinese ingredients in Ubud since 2001, founded by Chris Salans and run day-to-day by Blake Thornley. For a group it offers the Chef's Table and the Tipple Room lounge with a walk-in wine cellar, both bookable, plus a dine-at-home service.
The dry-aged duck carved tableside is the signature, with a six-course tasting around 1,350,000 rupiah and eight courses near 1,700,000. It is the pick for a smaller, senior team that wants a formal Ubud dinner. Book the Chef's Table for the core group and the lounge for drinks.
Not for everyone
Famous, but not the team-dinner pick
Bridges Bali in Ubud. The long-running riverside restaurant has closed permanently, its team pivoting to an Ayurveda wellness concept. Do not book a team dinner here; the room no longer operates.
Teatro Gastroteca in Seminyak. Mandif Warokka's theatrical degustation seats only about twenty-four to twenty-six, so it works for a small group of eight to twelve as a near-buyout, but not for a full team of twenty to forty.
Savaya in Uluwatu, the former Omnia day club. It is a day-and-night party venue rather than a dinner room, and the same goes for the Uluwatu cliff clubs. Book it for an event, not a seated team dinner.
How to book a team dinner in Bali
Bali's group rooms spread across the island: Jimbaran for Cuca and the Four Seasons beach club, Seminyak and Kerobokan for Metis and Sangsaka, and Ubud for the tasting rooms at Locavore NXT and Mozaic. Match the area to where the team is staying, because the drive between Seminyak and Ubud can run well over an hour in traffic.
Match the room to the headcount. Cuca and Metis scale to a full company dinner, while Locavore NXT, Mozaic and the smaller Sangsaka rooms suit a senior leadership table. Most quoted prices exclude the standard tax and service charge of around twenty-one percent, and the larger venues set a minimum spend, so confirm both when you book.
