71 Steak & Grill is Sharjah's most ambitious steakhouse — a wood-fire-centric grill room at the heart of the Aljada community, opened in 2022 and recognised by Gault&Millau UAE in its 2025 Sharjah selection. The restaurant's defining piece of equipment is a custom-built grill burning a mix of olive, orange, and mesquite woods, and every steak on the menu passes across it.

The menu is disciplined. Sirloin, rib-eye, tenderloin, tomahawk — from US Prime, Australian Wagyu MBS 5, and Japanese A5 Miyazaki. Portion sizes are generous. A smaller section of fish preparations (wood-fired sea bream, tuna steak, grilled Omani lobster) serves diners at the table who are not ordering beef. The side dishes run classical — truffled potatoes, grilled artichokes, charred heirloom carrots with labneh — and the bread programme is unusually accomplished for a steakhouse.

The room itself is clubby in the contemporary sense: walnut panelling, tan leather banquettes, low lighting, a long bar at the back running the length of the dining room. The wine list is deep in New-World reds (Californian Cabernet, Argentinian Malbec, Australian Shiraz) and includes a respectable Lebanese selection. Service operates at the standard expected of a UAE hotel-dining-level room, and the staff is unusually knowledgeable about the grill's technique.

For Sharjah-based executives who host meetings at Aljada's corporate district, 71 Steak & Grill has effectively become the local business-dinner default. Reservations move fastest for weekend evenings; weekday tables are considerably more available.
