The Room
The Tasting Room opened on Uptown Park Boulevard in 2002 — a wine-bar dedicated to the proposition that Memorial-area Uptown Park needed a serious wine destination. Twenty-three years later the room is one of Houston's longest-running wine bars.
The dining room is intentionally restrained — a long bar, banquettes along the eastern wall, a serious wine cellar visible from the dining room.
The Food
The small-plates programme runs Mediterranean-leaning — a charcuterie programme, a seasonal-rotating salad, a small daily-changing pasta.
Wine programme runs over 200 bottles, with an honest by-the-glass programme. Cocktail bench is short.
