About Musaafer
Musaafer means "traveler" in Urdu, and the name is a manifesto. The two founding chefs — Mayank Istwal and Avinash Martins — spent years traveling across all 29 states of India, documenting recipes, techniques, and flavor profiles that never appear in the standard Indian restaurant repertoire. They brought it all back to Houston and built one of the most original restaurants in the country.
