Best Restaurants Open Late in New Delhi 2026

Open Late · New Delhi · 6 tables ranked · Updated June 2026

The tandoors on Pandara Road are still roaring at one in the morning, sending up smoke and the smell of charred butter chicken a stone's throw from India Gate. That market is the spine of eating late in New Delhi: a cluster of Mughlai institutions that have fed night-owls and politicians for decades. Beyond it, a 24-hour hotel coffee shop near Khan Market, the parantha stalls at Moolchand and a round-the-clock South Delhi lounge carry the city to dawn. The late food here is rich, generous and built to share. These six keep a real kitchen going long past eleven, ranked here by how late they cook, how good the food is, and what you get for the rupee.

1.Gulati

Mughlai / North Indian · Pandara Road · Open to ~midnight

Pandara Road's butter-chicken benchmark serves to midnight at roughly ₹1,200 a head; book it.

Gulati has anchored Pandara Road Market since 1959 and is voted the best butter chicken in town in poll after poll. That dish, the dal Gulati and the seekh kebabs are the orders, with two eating well for around ₹2,200 to ₹3,200 including breads, so near ₹1,200 a head. The kitchen runs to about midnight, later on weekends, and the market itself stays lit past one. It is the polished end of late Delhi dining, not the cheapest. For a proper Mughlai dinner near India Gate, book it.

Reserve ahead; butter chicken to midnight on Pandara Road.

2.Havemore

Mughlai / North Indian · Pandara Road · Open to ~1am

Gulati's neighbour matches the butter chicken and runs later, around ₹1,000 a head; try it once.

Havemore sits a few doors from Gulati on Pandara Road and trades the same Mughlai repertoire, its butter chicken described locally as the jewel in its crown. The mutton rogan josh, the kadhai chicken and the biryani round out a table, with two eating for around ₹1,800 to ₹2,600, near ₹1,000 a head with breads. The kitchen runs to about one in the morning, a touch later than Gulati, and the rivalry keeps both sharp. For the same dish at a slightly lower bill and later hours, try it once.

Walk in; Mughlai to ~1am on Pandara Road.

3.Pindi

North Indian / Mughlai · Pandara Road · Open to ~midnight

The old-school Pandara Road kitchen plates rara chicken and dal to midnight for about ₹900; order it.

Pindi is the third of the Pandara Road institutions, open since the 1970s and a favourite for its no-frills consistency. The rara chicken, the butter chicken and the pindi chana are the orders, with two eating well for around ₹1,600 to ₹2,400, near ₹900 a head with breads. It is plainer than Gulati and a little cheaper, the locals' pick when the queue next door is long. The kitchen runs to about midnight. For dependable Mughlai without the wait, order it.

Walk in; North Indian to midnight on Pandara Road.

4.Yellow Brick Road

All-day / Indian · Vivanta, near Khan Market · Open 24 hours

A 24-hour hotel coffee shop plates YBR chicken and railway cutlets at any hour for around ₹1,500; slip in.

Yellow Brick Road, the round-the-clock coffee shop at the Vivanta hotel near Khan Market, is Delhi's reliable 24-hour sit-down. The signature YBR chicken, the railway mutton cutlets and the idli chaat are the orders, with a meal around ₹1,200 to ₹1,800 a head once taxes and the hotel premium are counted. It is the safe, air-conditioned option when the street kitchens have closed, popular with travellers off late flights. The premium buys you comfort and certainty at 4am. For a proper meal at any hour, slip in.

5.Moolchand Paratha

Paranthas / street · Moolchand flyover · Open very late

The flyover parantha stalls fry stuffed breads past midnight for under ₹150; grab one.

The parantha stalls under the Moolchand flyover are a Delhi late-night institution, frying ghee-laden stuffed breads deep into the night. The aloo, paneer and mixed paranthas with curd and pickle are the orders, most ₹60 to ₹120 each so a full feed under ₹200 a head. It is street food at its cheapest and most satisfying, eaten standing with a glass of lassi. Hours stretch well past midnight, busiest after the clubs of nearby Defence Colony empty. For a cheap, hot end to the night, grab one.

Walk in; stuffed paranthas late at Moolchand.

6.1440

Multi-cuisine lounge · South Delhi · Open 24 hours

A 24-hour South Delhi lounge serves paranthas, maggi and a night menu past 2am for around ₹700; pull up a chair.

1440, named for the minutes in a day, is the South Delhi lounge built for night-owls, with outdoor seating that fills after eleven. The live-counter paranthas, the omelettes and the late-night maggi are the orders off a trimmed overnight menu, a meal around ₹500 to ₹900 a head. It is more hangout than restaurant, the place to land at two in the morning with friends rather than for a serious dinner. The kitchen genuinely runs 24 hours. For a casual late table with a night menu, pull up a chair.

Not for a late dinner

Famous, but closes early

Khan Market's celebrated restaurants, from the rooftop bars to the bistros, mostly stop serving food by eleven or half past despite the buzz. Go early for dinner and a drink, then walk or drive the short distance to Yellow Brick Road or Pandara Road when the night runs long.

Connaught Place's fine-dining rooms and the five-star tasting menus take their last orders well before midnight. They are worth a planned evening, not a late detour, so book them for dinner and keep the small hours for the Pandara Road tandoors and the Moolchand stalls.

Eating late in New Delhi without a hitch

Pandara Road takes bookings at the bigger names, and Gulati in particular is worth reserving on a weekend; Havemore and Pindi run more on walk-ins and a short wait. The hotel option, Yellow Brick Road, is always open and rarely needs a reservation off-peak. The street stalls at Moolchand and the lounge at 1440 are pure walk-in.

Delhi's Metro runs until roughly eleven, so plan an Uber or Ola for the way home; late fares are modest by Western standards. Pandara Road and Khan Market are minutes apart in central Lutyens' Delhi, while Moolchand and 1440 sit south toward Defence Colony and Greater Kailash. Carry some cash for the street stalls, though the restaurants and the hotel take cards and UPI. The market is safe and busy late, but arrange your ride rather than waiting for a street cab.

Frequently asked

Which New Delhi restaurant has the latest kitchen?

The 24-hour options run latest. Yellow Brick Road at the Vivanta near Khan Market and the 1440 lounge in South Delhi never close, and the Moolchand parantha stalls run deep into the night. On Pandara Road, Havemore serves to about 1am and Gulati and Pindi to around midnight. For food in the genuine small hours, the 24-hour spots and Moolchand are the reliable options.

Where can I eat late in Delhi on a budget?

The street is the value. A plate of stuffed paranthas at Moolchand runs under ₹200 a head, and a casual late meal at 1440 around ₹500 to ₹700. The Pandara Road institutions are mid-range at ₹900 to ₹1,200 a head with breads, and Yellow Brick Road is the splurge once the hotel premium and taxes are counted. Late Delhi food runs cheap on the street and dearer indoors.

Do New Delhi kitchens close early?

Many of the fashionable ones do. Khan Market and Connaught Place restaurants largely stop serving food by eleven, and fine-dining rooms finish before midnight. But Delhi has a genuine late scene in the Pandara Road tandoors, the Moolchand parantha stalls and the 24-hour hotel coffee shops, which is why this list is built around the kitchens that genuinely cook past 23:00.

What is the best late dinner in New Delhi?

For the full experience, the butter chicken at Gulati on Pandara Road is the benchmark, with Havemore the later-running rival next door. For a meal at any hour, Yellow Brick Road near Khan Market is the 24-hour pick, and for a cheap, hot end to the night, the Moolchand parantha stalls are the order.

Can I walk in for a late table in New Delhi?

Mostly yes. The street stalls at Moolchand, the lounge at 1440 and the hotel coffee shop Yellow Brick Road are all walk-in. On Pandara Road, Gulati is worth booking on a weekend while Havemore and Pindi run on short waits. Plan an Uber or Ola home, since the Metro stops around eleven, and carry some cash for the street stalls.
