Best Restaurants for Brunch in Marrakech (2026)

Weekend brunch · Marrakech · 6 rooms ranked · Updated June 2026

Compiled by the Restaurants for Kings editorial team · Published May 2, 2024 · Updated June 18, 2026 · Reviewed by Fredrik Filipsson, Editor-in-Chief · How we rank · Corrections

Marrakech splits its mornings between the new town and the old. In Guéliz you get eggs Benedict and flat whites; in the Medina you get msemen, beghrir and mint tea on a rooftop over the spice square. These six, ranked, are where to spend a slow Saturday morning when the table matters as much as the call to prayer.

1.Lily Billy

Modern European · Guéliz · 2 Rue Loubnane

The city's one dedicated brunch room, four eggs Benedict variations and the highest current ratings; book the Géliz table.

Lily Billy sits at 2 Rue Loubnane in Guéliz and runs brunch daily from nine, extended to five on weekends. The kitchen plates eggs Benedict four ways, and the Nordique version with smoked salmon, avocado and brioche is the one regulars order.

Most of the menu lands around 80 to 180 dirhams, and the room recently added a designer terrace. It is the only spot here built explicitly around brunch rather than lunch, which is why it leads the list.

2.Le Jardin

Moroccan-Mediterranean · Medina · 32 Souk Sidi Abdelaziz

A green courtyard garden off the souks for Moroccan crêpes and fresh juice; the Medina's best late-morning table.

Le Jardin sits at 32 Souk Sidi Abdelaziz, a green-painted riad on the World's 50 Best Discovery list. The morning spread runs fresh juice and fruit, beghrir and msemen, and omelettes, with most plates in the 250 to 450 dirham range.

The draw is the courtyard itself, shaded and quiet a few steps off the souks. Come mid-morning for a leisurely Moroccan brunch under the trees rather than a rushed eggs-and-coffee stop.

3.Nomad

Modern Moroccan · Medina · Rahba Kedima

A four-floor rooftop over the spice square for modern Moroccan plates with Atlas views; reserve two days ahead.

Nomad opened in 2014 in a former carpet store on Rahba Kedima, the spice square, and spreads over four floors with two terraces looking to the Atlas Mountains. The daytime menu runs modern Moroccan small plates and salads, most around 200 to 400 dirhams.

It skews lunch rather than morning eggs, so treat it as a late brunch with a view. Book two or three days ahead, especially for a terrace table at the weekend.

4.Café Clock

Cross-cultural · Kasbah · 224 Derb Chtouka

An all-day riad cafe in the Kasbah, home of the camel burger, with live music most nights; walk in any morning.

Café Clock sits at 224 Derb Chtouka in the Kasbah, open daily from nine to eleven in a restored riad. It is the home of the camel burger, but the all-day menu also runs pastilla, quiches and big salads through the morning.

There is a free Wednesday jam session and a Saturday Berber-music night, plus cooking and calligraphy classes. It is the quirky pick, easy to walk into for a slow weekday brunch.

5.La Famille

Vegetarian · Medina · 42 Riad Zitoun Jdid

A hidden Medina garden under fig and lemon trees for a daily-changing vegetarian menu; arrive at noon, not dawn.

La Famille opened in 2015 at 42 Riad Zitoun Jdid, a vegetarian kitchen set in a hidden garden under fig and lemon trees. The menu changes daily around seasonal produce, and the homemade cakes are the reason regulars linger.

The one caveat is the clock: it opens at noon, so this is a brunch-leaning lunch rather than a morning room. For the best garden table, come early in the service before the Medina crowds arrive.

6.Café des Épices

Moroccan cafe · Medina · Rahba Kedima

A 75-dirham Moroccan breakfast on a rooftop over the spice square; the best-value morning in the Medina.

Café des Épices runs three floors and a rooftop terrace over Rahba Kedima, the spice square. The signature Moroccan breakfast, an assorted bread basket with an omelette and tea or coffee, is a flat 75 dirhams and served from nine to noon.

It is lower on polish than the riad rooms above, which is the only reason it sits last. For the most authentic, best-value Moroccan morning with a rooftop view, it is hard to beat.

Not for everyone

Famous, but not actually brunch

Le Grand Café de la Poste. The iconic colonial brasserie in Guéliz is open and beloved, but it is a lunch and dinner French-Moroccan room with no morning brunch menu. Save it for an evening, not a Saturday morning.

Plus61. The excellent Australian-Mediterranean kitchen in Guéliz is often mis-listed as brunch, but it serves lunch and dinner only. Go for a midday meal rather than an early one.

Pointbar. The once highly rated Medina spot is now closed despite a strong legacy reputation. Do not plan a morning around it; the rooms above are the live options.

How to brunch well in Marrakech

Marrakech brunch divides cleanly: Guéliz, the new town, for eggs Benedict, flat whites and a Western-style morning; the Medina for msemen, beghrir and mint tea on a rooftop. Lily Billy and Café des Épices are the true early-morning rooms.

Several of the best Medina spots, Le Jardin, Nomad and La Famille, open closer to noon, so they read as brunch-leaning lunches. Reserve a day or two ahead for the riad gardens and rooftops at the weekend, and walk in on a weekday for the quiet.
