1.Caprice
A three-star power lunch one floor above the IFC banking towers; book it when the client outranks the budget.
Guillaume Galliot's three-star French room sits on the sixth floor of the Four Seasons at 8 Finance Street, connected to the IFC towers that house Central's banks. The dedicated set lunch, around 1,288 Hong Kong dollars for four courses, is the city's benchmark power lunch.
The Brittany blue lobster and the renowned cheese cellar are the reasons to linger; harbour views do the rest. For a lunch where prestige is the point, nothing in Central tops it.

2.Mott 32
The most business-built room here, in the Standard Chartered Bank basement with five private rooms; come for the deal, not the stars.
Mott 32 sits in the basement of the Standard Chartered Bank Building at 4 Des Voeux Road Central, group executive chef Lee Man Sing's modern-Chinese flagship. Two tiers of set lunch, around 658 and 928 dollars including a drink, and five private and semi-private rooms make it the city's purpose-built corporate-entertaining room.
The apple-wood-roasted forty-two-day Peking duck is the order. It holds no Michelin star, so come for the privacy and the duck rather than the guide.

3.Amber
Richard Ekkebus's three-star room with curved partitions for a private word; book it for a confidential lunch above Central.
Amber, on the seventh floor of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental at 15 Queen's Road Central, is the only Hong Kong restaurant holding three stars and a Green Star, promoted to three in 2025. Curved partitions and floor-to-ceiling windows create semi-private pockets ideal for a conversation no one else should hear.
The set lunches start around 928 dollars, with the signature sea urchin in lobster jelly. For a discreet, high-prestige lunch, it is the most private of the three-star rooms.

4.Duddell's
A one-star Cantonese institution, freshly redesigned, with a great-value executive set; book it for classic client entertaining.
Duddell's reopened in August 2025 after an Andre Fu Studio renovation at 1 Duddell Street, holding its Michelin star, with chef Chan Yau Leung in the kitchen. The Michelin guide itself flags it for elegant business lunches, and it keeps private-event spaces for larger tables.
The six-course executive set runs around 468 dollars, with the crispy-skin chicken, its oil ladled hundreds of times, the dish to order. It is the best-value prestige lunch in Central.

5.Hansik Goo
A calm one-star Korean room with an exceptional-value lunch on Wellington Street; come when you want quiet and quality.
Hansik Goo, on the first floor of The Wellington at 198 Wellington Street, is Mingoo Kang's contemporary Korean room, of Seoul's Mingles. The lunch, reported around 588 dollars, is one of the better-value Michelin lunches in Central, served Wednesday to Sunday from noon.
The seasonal tasting moves through jeon and hanwoo courses. The room is calm and refined, which makes it an easy place to actually talk business over lunch.

6.Lung King Heen
Harbour-view dim sum and set lunch from a landmark Cantonese kitchen; book it for a calm, spacious client lunch.
Lung King Heen sits on the fourth floor of the Four Seasons at 8 Finance Street, the Chan Yan-tak-led kitchen that became the first Chinese restaurant to hold three stars; it carries two in the 2026 guide. The weekday dim sum and set lunch come with a Victoria Harbour view and a spacious, calm room.
The baked abalone puff with diced chicken is the signature. There is no fixed set-lunch price, but a 700-dollar minimum spend applies from 2026, so plan accordingly.

Closed, dinner-only, or the wrong room
8 1/2 Otto e Mezzo Bombana. Umberto Bombana's three-star Italian retained its stars in 2026 but the Central flagship is temporarily closed for renovation, with no reopening date confirmed. You cannot book it for lunch, so it stays off the live list until it reopens.
Yardbird. The Sheung Wan yakitori counter is a favourite, but it serves dinner only, opening at 6pm, and the loud counter-style room is wrong for a business lunch. Take a client there for drinks after the deal, not during it.
Neighborhood. David Lai's Central room is among the hardest reservations in town and serves dinner only, closed Sundays, with no website. It is a dinner destination, not a lunch option, so it does not belong on this list.
How to book a business lunch in Central
Almost every room here sits within a ten-minute walk of Des Voeux Road Central, so location rarely decides the choice; privacy and prestige do. For a confidential conversation, book a private room at Mott 32 or a partitioned nook at Amber. For pure prestige with a client who counts stars, Caprice and Lung King Heen carry the names that travel.
Reserve the set lunch and any private room several days ahead, and pre-order signature dishes such as the Mott 32 Peking duck or the Duddell's crispy chicken, which take time.
