About Yoshi
Yoshi opened inside the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo in 2008 as the first and only Japanese restaurant Joël Robuchon ever built, and Takéo Yamazaki has run the kitchen from the first service. He had followed Robuchon through the openings of L'Atelier from Paris to London to Hong Kong before taking Monaco. Michelin awarded Yoshi a star in 2010 and it has held it every year since, into the 2026 guide. The cooking is precise rather than showy: ghindara, a black cod marinated 72 hours and grilled in a magnolia leaf, and ebi shinjo, kombu-scented shrimp dumplings.
The Kitchen
Takéo Yamazaki trained in Japan, then joined Joël Robuchon, working the openings of L'Atelier in Paris, London and Hong Kong before Robuchon handed him Yoshi in Monaco in 2008.
