About Prime 112
Prime 112 opened on Ocean Drive in the restored Browns Hotel in 2004 and has held its reputation as Miami's celebrity steakhouse for more than two decades. The dining room runs 160 seats across two floors of a 19th-century Miami Beach landmark and is consistently among the highest-grossing independent restaurants in the United States by annual revenue.
The menu is USDA Prime dry-aged steak — 20oz bone-in ribeye, 16oz filet, 48oz tomahawk — plus a secondary reputation for the truffled macaroni and cheese, the lobster mac, and oversized king crab. Steaks run $70-180. The wine list is broad rather than deep and priced for expense-account drinking.
Reservations at 8pm on Friday or Saturday are among the harder bookings in Miami Beach, often requiring two-to-four weeks of lead time and a direct relationship with the front desk. The room is loud, the celebrity-spotting is routine, and the kitchen stays open to midnight — a combination that makes this the city's default deal-closing steakhouse.
Best Occasion Fit
Prime 112 closes deals through scarcity and volume. The hard reservation, the Ocean Drive location, and the fact that your counterpart has probably been trying to get in for months all combine into a negotiating advantage before the first bite of ribeye arrives.
