Head-to-Head
Jordnær vs Kadeau
Two Copenhagen three-stars: Jordnær for luxury seafood precision, Kadeau for wild Bornholm New Nordic.
The Verdict
Two Copenhagen three-stars: Jordnær for luxury seafood precision, Kadeau for wild Bornholm New Nordic.
The scoreboard does not separate them: both kitchens score 10 on our food scale, and both hold three Michelin stars in the 2026 Nordic guide. Jordnær is Eric Kragh Vildgaard's room in Gentofte, north of the centre, where the cooking is built on the best seafood and luxury produce, langoustine and caviar handled with near-surgical precision, his wife Tina running the wine. Kadeau took its third star on 1 June 2026 at the Tivoli ceremony, Nicolai Nørregaard's Christianshavn dining room rooted in the terroir of the island of Bornholm, all foraging, fermentation, and a menu that reads like a Danish summer.
So the choice is character, not quality. Jordnær is the polished one, intimate and exact, the most refined seafood in Denmark. Kadeau is the wild one, lush and seasonal, the most complete expression of Bornholm on a plate. Both sit alongside Geranium at the top of the city; the question is which language you want your three-star meal to speak.
Price is no help here: both are $$$$, single long tasting menus among the most expensive seats in Denmark, with a wine pairing that pushes the evening higher. Neither is the value play. If the budget is the deciding factor, look one tier down; for these two, plan the splurge and the full evening.

The Numbers
Our scoring puts Jordnær at 10/9/8 (food / ambience / value) and Kadeau at 10/9/8. It is a clean tie across all three, and both carry the same three Michelin stars. When the numbers agree, the decision is style: choose luxury seafood or wild Bornholm, and follow it.
How to Book
Neither is a ticketed drop. Jordnær seats a small room in Gentofte across Wednesday to Saturday, so its few covers fill weeks ahead. Kadeau has seen demand spike since the third star landed in June 2026, making its Christianshavn tables the harder grab right now. Plan a month or more ahead for either, and target a weekday.
