About Big Belly Siargao

Big Belly earns its name through the philosophy of its kitchen: food is made to be eaten with the appetite that Siargao's physical life generates — surfing, swimming, trekking to the rock pools — and the portions reflect this understanding. Nothing here is engineered for minimalism. The plates arrive loaded, the sharing dishes are meant to be shared.

The menu navigates between Filipino traditions and the international palate of the island's visitor community with the agility of a kitchen that has been doing this long enough to know what works. Filipino staples — crispy pata, kare-kare, a sinigang that changes with the daily catch — appear alongside international comfort food executed with local ingredients: burgers with Philippine beef, pasta with fresh local seafood, a breakfast menu that runs all day for the surfers who operate on a time-zone of their own.

The grilled seafood programme — whole fish, prawn skewers, squid prepared with garlic and vinegar in the Philippine adobo tradition — draws on Siargao's supply chain with efficiency that makes the dishes taste of the place.

Big Belly is the restaurant that the island returns to: the reliable, generous, genuinely warm table that feels like home after a day on the water.

What to Order

The kitchen is a smash-burger operation built on Philippine wagyu, and the order that defines it is the Smash, a single wagyu patty with melted cheddar, browned onion and zucchini pickles at ₱340, or the twin at ₱450. The best-seller is the B.B.King at ₱550, stacked with cured bacon and barbecue sauce, and it earns the price. The Big Marc (₱450) is the house riff on the fast-food classic with shredded lettuce, pickles and big marc sauce. Non-beef eaters are well served: the Dorado, a beer-battered fish burger with tartar, runs ₱350, and the Pollos Hermanos fried-chicken burger the same. On the side, the NY Fries with cheddar, bacon and ranch and the Truffle Fries with braised shiitake both sit at ₱300, and the Mozza Sticks at ₱250 are the better snack than the chicken tenders. Order the wagyu Smash and a B.B.King to share, add Truffle Fries, and skip the ₱650 Three Cheese, which buries the beef under gorgonzola and brie. Expect ₱1,400 to ₱1,600 a head with a kraft beer.
