The Room
Kevin Burzell opened Kedai Makan on Bellevue Avenue in 2016 — a serious Malaysian dining room dedicated to the proposition that Capitol Hill needed a chef-driven Malaysian destination. The dining room is intentionally tiny: a counter, a small back room, casual seating.
Eater Seattle has held Kedai Makan on its top-Capitol-Hill rankings every year of operation.
The Food
The roti programme — house-made roti canai — runs the menu's centre. The seasonal-rotating Malaysian curries, the rice-and-noodle programme handle the menu's spine.
Beer programme runs Asian-import. Wine programme is short. Service is informed and warm.
