About Morrissey's Lounge & Bistro

Morrissey's Lounge & Bistro is the all-day dining room of the restored Adelphi Hotel, the grand 1877 landmark on Broadway that reopened in 2017 after a top-to-bottom renovation. The bistro dining room was unveiled in late 2020, with celebrity chef David Burke directing the menu across three connected spaces.

It is one of the most polished tables in downtown Saratoga Springs, in the company of the fine-dining 15 Church and the steak-led Salt & Char a few doors up.

The Kitchen

David Burke's all-day menu runs from fresh salads and Saratoga oysters to signature lobster dumplings, crab-stuffed artichokes and short-rib croquettes, plus wood-fired flatbreads and house-made pasta. Heartier plates include shrimp and scallops with corn chowder and a filet mignon with a goat-cheese-and-mushroom tart.

A New York City Carnegie Deli-style hot pastrami sandwich threads through brunch and lunch, and the bar turns out cheese fondues and specialty cocktails for a lighter business lunch.

The Room

There are three connected dining areas — a lively lounge, the bistro dining room and the bar — under the Adelphi's restored Victorian detailing. It runs from an unhurried breakfast to a busy, see-and-be-seen dinner through the summer racing season, when downtown Saratoga is at its most crowded.

Best for a business lunch

The all-day menu, central Broadway address and three flexible rooms make Morrissey's a dependable business lunch, while the lounge and cocktails set up an easy first date before a night out.

Not for

Not for a quiet, budget meal — Morrissey's runs busy and upscale through the racing season, and the all-day lounge can get loud at peak Broadway hours.
