About Hotel Cincotta
Hotel Cincotta is the Cincotta-family-run boutique hotel and dining room in San Pietro — opened in the 1980s, currently in second-generation ownership, and the village's most reliable mid-tier hotel-restaurant. The dining room and terrace are built into a series of whitewashed Aeolian-style stone-and-stucco pavilions on the eastern face of the village, with a 270-degree view of the harbour and (on a clear evening) the Stromboli volcano twenty-two kilometres east.
The cuisine is classic Aeolian. Signatures include a hand-rolled busiate alla trapanese with Mazzara red prawn; a slow-cooked Mediterranean octopus with green olive and lemon confit; a Pachino-tomato risotto with Avola almonds; a wood-fired Aeolian-island dentice baked in salt crust; the famous 'pasta alla siciliana' — a regional sea-urchin pasta from the daily Aeolian small-fleet catch.
The wine list runs to 250 references with deep Aeolian smallholder coverage and a tightly chosen Sicilian and Italian-national section. Glass pours start at €5.
The dining room and cliff-side terrace together hold seventy-two covers. The summer terrace is the experience: the second-best Stromboli view in the village (after Hotel Raya). Service is family-run — the Cincotta siblings rotate the floor.
Why It's Perfect for Impress Clients
Hotel Cincotta is the impress-the-client room in Panarea when Hotel Raya is booked out. The Stromboli view is the conversation; the canonical Aeolian cooking is the cuisine; the dinner-and-stay format means the trip is easy to arrange. Book the south-terrace four-top at sunset.
