The Room
Aiana opened in 2022 on Bay Street in Centretown. Devinder Chaudhary — formerly of the Whalesbone, Atelier Ottawa, and the West family of restaurants — built the room as a modern-Canadian fine-dining project. The dining room is small (60 seats), polished and restrained.
Service is small-team and floor-warm. Chaudhary is frequently in the kitchen.
The Food
The kitchen runs an Ontario-Quebec sourcing programme — Acadian sturgeon, Gatineau lamb, Ontario corn, Quebec cheese — through a French-classical lens. The chef's tasting at $120 is the right order on a first visit.
