About Pied à Terre

Pied à Terre has held at least one Michelin star continuously since 1993, making it one of the longest-running starred restaurants in the United Kingdom. Chef Asimakis Chaniotis took over the kitchen in 2019 and the cooking has since tightened into a polished modern French tasting format, with parallel vegetarian and pescatarian tracks that are treated with the same seriousness as the main menu.

The dining room is narrow, low-lit, and deliberately residential-feeling — more private dining than hotel grand. This works in favour of business dinners where the conversation matters as much as the food, and the small floor plan means service can be genuinely attentive without becoming intrusive.

Tasting menus range from roughly £135 (lunch) to £195 (evening) with pairings. Value-for-Michelin-star sits well above the London average and the wine list, particularly the Burgundy depth, is a serious draw.

Best Occasion Fit

Pied à Terre is where you close deals that need to happen quietly. The room volume is low, the service corps understands confidentiality, and the Fitzrovia location keeps the dinner off the Mayfair radar without sacrificing the Michelin-star signal. Excellent for negotiations that benefit from a less-public setting than The Ritz or The Connaught.
