Beacon at Charlie & Joe's Love Street

Editor Pick Modern Coastal American $$$$ Jupiter Inlet — Lighthouse Promenade, Jupiter

The upscale anchor of the Love Street complex. Open-kitchen format, Inlet-facing dining room, and the most direct working view of the 1860 Jupiter Lighthouse from any restaurant in town.

The Restaurant

Beacon opened in 2022 as the upscale flagship of the Charlie & Joe's Love Street complex — a four-restaurant cluster developed on the south side of the Jupiter Inlet on land that had been a low-rise commercial property for decades. The dining room sits in a purpose-built two-story building with floor-to-ceiling glass facing northeast across the Inlet, putting the 1860 Jupiter Inlet Light Station — Florida's oldest extant structure — directly in the view from every table on the eastern wall.

The kitchen is built around a central open hearth and a raw bar that anchors the room. The menu reads as modern coastal American with a meaningful local sourcing programme: stone crab claws in season (October through May), Mayport shrimp from forty miles north, a daily catch programme of grouper, snapper, and pompano with rotating preparations, and prime steaks from a small Wagyu programme in Oklahoma. The signature is the salt-baked whole snapper presented at the table and deboned by the head waiter — the closing-time theatre of the room.

The wine list runs to about two hundred and sixty labels with strong depth in California Cabernet and white Burgundy, a serious by-the-glass Coravin programme for high-end pours, and a rotating spotlight bottle that the sommelier features each week. Beacon shares its building with Topside (the rooftop tapas bar) and a separate ground-floor oyster bar (Lucky Shuck), so a Jupiter evening can be a full progression — drinks above, dinner at Beacon, a nightcap below — without leaving the property.

Primary Occasion

Why This Is Jupiter’s Close a Deal Pick

Beacon's Lighthouse view is the working business credential of Jupiter dining. For closing a deal, the table near the eastern glass at sunset puts the 1860 Light Station in literal frame behind the conversation — a backdrop that even seasoned Palm Beach clients remark on. The open-kitchen format creates natural pauses for conversation; the wine list lets the host make a meaningful gesture without performance; and the on-site upstairs lounge gives the evening a continued option after the check arrives — the kind of seamless follow-on that prevents the night from ending early on the wrong note.
