Rice Forest opened on Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in October 2024, the second concept from the team behind Roll & Fold, which began in Bentonville before moving to Rogers. Where Roll & Fold built its name on sushi, Rice Forest leans into dumplings, rice and noodle bowls across an Asian-fusion menu.
It is a counter-service spot built for speed and value, and it filled a clear gap on the Fayetteville map for quick, made-to-order Asian food a step above takeout.
The kitchen's calling cards are its Sichuan dumplings and Hong Kong-style BBQ pork, backed by bao nini, crab rangoon, potstickers, egg rolls and a tonkotsu ramen. Small plates run roughly $4 to $9 and the rice and noodle bowls land around $11 to $16, which keeps a full meal comfortably under $20 a head.
The setting is bright, casual and counter-led — order, sit, eat. It is built for turnover rather than lingering, which suits the lunch crowd it draws from the surrounding offices and the University of Arkansas nearby.
