About Moshi Moshi
Moshi Moshi was born from the same creative impulse as Carmen. The ambition to bring serious, technically accomplished non-Colombian cooking to the walled city of Cartagena, and to do it without apology. While Carmen focused on European-Colombian fusion, Moshi went east: Japanese technique applied to Caribbean and Colombian seafood, resulting in a menu that felt genuinely surprising in a city that has a very strong native culinary identity.
The address on Calle 38 placed it within the historic walled city, sharing a building with Carmen in a partnership that made logistical sense. The same kitchen infrastructure serving two very different dining concepts. The outdoor lounge area caught the warmth of Cartagena evenings and the particular light that falls on the colonial streets at dusk, providing exactly the ambient beauty that Cartagena does so effortlessly. The sushi bar at the front of the kitchen brought diners close to the preparation. A transparency of method that the omakase format demands.

Moshi Moshi was exactly the right counter-intuitive choice: Japanese in Colombia, refined in a colonial courtyard, unexpected enough to give us something to talk about immediately.
