The Room
El Sanjuanino opened in Recoleta in 1964 — Buenos Aires's longest-running serious-empanadas family-restaurant. Sixty-one years later the family is still on the floor.
The dining room is intentionally Argentine-traditional.
The Food
The empanadas programme runs the canonical Argentine regional varieties — Salta, San Juan, Mendoza, Buenos Aires. The locro stew, the seasonal-rotating provincial preparations handle the menu's wider draws.
Wine programme is Argentine. Service is the long-running family-restaurant brigade book.
