About Da Vittorio

Da Vittorio is the three-starred flagship of the Cerea family — founded in 1966 by Vittorio Cerea on Viale Papa Giovanni in Bergamo and moved in 2005 to a purpose-built country villa at Brusaporto, twelve kilometres east of the city, in the hills above the Lombard plain. The restaurant holds three Michelin stars, a fifty-pillar Relais & Châteaux reputation, and a rotation of the family — Enrico, Roberto, Barbara, Francesco, Rossella — working the kitchen and floor.

The cooking is ostensibly Lombard but effectively Italian-at-the-highest-level. The signature dish — the paccheri al pomodoro, tossed at table from a pan of six tomato varieties — has been on the menu for four decades and remains one of the most perfect plates of food in Italy. Beyond it, the carte runs serious seafood work (turbot cooked in a crust, a tasting of crudo with hyper-local citrus), Alpine game in season, and a dessert program — run by Rossella — that is one of Europe's best.

The room is a light, high-ceilinged salon overlooking the vineyards, with a summer terrace that doubles covers. Service is old-Italian-aristocratic without the frost — the Cereas are visibly family, and the dining room absorbs that warmth.

The wine cellar runs to twelve thousand labels with serious Franciacorta depth, a museum-level Barolo holding, and a Champagne list that competes with the best in Europe. Guests who stay overnight at the attached Dimora Hotel get first call on the sommelier's private library.

Why It's Perfect for Impress Clients

Da Vittorio is the Italian restaurant to fly to for a meeting. The three stars, the sixty-year family pedigree, the villa-hotel format that means the meeting continues over breakfast — everything about it signals that you do not bring clients to places you found yesterday. For a European deal that needs to feel serious, this is the Lombardy answer.
