The Room
TenTen opened in the Domain in 2019 — a modern pan-Asian small-plates dining room that draws from Japanese, Korean and Southeast-Asian foodways across a single menu. The dining room is intentionally polished — black-tile floor, an open sushi bar at the front, a cocktail bar along the western wall, banquettes along the eastern wall.
The Domain's tech-corridor crowd has made TenTen a working-dinner staple. The room handles a confidential client conversation in the back banquette and a casual two-top at the bar with the same composure. Eater Austin has held TenTen on its best-Domain-restaurant list every year since opening.
The Food
Small-plates menu runs from a serious sushi-and-sashimi programme through Korean-style braised short ribs, a Vietnamese-leaning crispy fish, a wagyu-rice bowl. The sushi bar is the menu's centre of gravity and runs an honest mid-tier nigiri programme. The dim-sum-style small-plates round out the lower-priced end of the menu.
Sake programme is one of the Domain's deepest. Cocktail bench runs Asian-spice-led: a yuzu Margarita, a Sichuan-pepper Manhattan, a sake-and-rosemary spritz. Wine programme is short, weighted toward Riesling and Champagne. Service is informed and warm, in the Domain working-dinner register.
Best Occasion Fit
Close a Deal: TenTen is the working-Domain Asian dining room for the deal that needs the room to read as international-curious rather than American-classic. The back banquette is the right register for confidential conversation, the small-plates ordering scales naturally, and the sake programme is the closer.
Birthday: Birthdays at TenTen are warm, small-plates-led, sake-friendly affairs the room handles with the practiced ease of a five-year-old Domain operation. The corner banquette is the seat to request.
First Date: The sushi bar at TenTen is one of the Domain's most-reliable first-date seats. The sushi programme is the natural opener, the cocktail bench is the second move, and the room's modern-Asian register reads as warm without becoming theatrical.
