Spondi is the grande dame of Athenian fine dining, a two-Michelin-star room in a restored Pangrati townhouse with a bougainvillea courtyard. The cooking is contemporary French built on Greek produce, with tasting menus around €140 to €180. It was the first restaurant in Greece to win a Michelin star, back in 2002, and it has held two for years. Crucially for this list, it serves dinner seven nights, including Sunday from 7:30pm, so the city's top table is a Sunday option.
