The Room
Wolfgang Puck opened The Source on Pennsylvania Avenue in 2008 — Puck's first DC restaurant, located in the Newseum building, with a serious Pan-Asian programme. The dining room is intentionally formal-Pan-Asian: floor-to-ceiling glass, marble accents, a long bar at the front.
The Washington Post review held The Source on its top-DC-fine-dining rankings during the Newseum's tenure.
The Food
The menu runs Pan-Asian with Puck's California-influenced sensibility. The dim sum programme, the wood-grilled Pacific seafood, the seasonal-rotating Pan-Asian preparations, and the wagyu programme run as the menu's spine.
Wine programme is American and French. Cocktails are Asian-spice-led. Service is the Wolfgang-Puck-group standard.
