The Room
Le Continental opened in 1956 on rue Saint-Louis in Old Quebec's Upper Town. The dining room is dressed in heritage-French register: stone walls, brass sconces, white linen, gueridon trolleys for tableside finishing. The kitchen still runs steak Diane, lobster Newburg, crêpes Suzette and bananas flambé tableside-finished — a tradition the room has not abandoned.
Service is brigade-French and formal.
The Food
The kitchen runs Old Quebec's most theatrical tableside programme. Wine programme is French-Quebec weighted.
Best Occasion Fit
Birthday: Le Continental for a milestone birthday delivers tableside theatre in a way few rooms still do — flambé desserts, the captain's narration, the heritage register.
Team Dinner: The private dining room at Le Continental seats up to 30 and runs a set classical-French menu with tableside finishes for the corporate dinner.
