The Room
Chez Boulay opened in 2012 on rue Saint-Jean — the historic shopping street in Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Jean-Luc Boulay (also of Le Saint-Amour) runs the kitchen as a more accessible boreal-bistro project.
The dining room seats 110; the booking window is one to two weeks.
The Food
The kitchen runs a serious boreal-cuisine programme — sea buckthorn, balsam fir, fiddleheads, foraged mushrooms — at the casual register. Wine programme is Quebec-French weighted.
