About Kampa Park

Kampa Park's position is cartographically improbable: on a small island in the Vltava river, at the foot of the Charles Bridge, in one of Prague's most historically charged settings. The restaurant has been operating here since 1994, making it one of Prague's longest-established fine dining addresses, and the decades have not diminished the power of the location. On a summer evening, with the bridge lit above and the river moving silently below, Kampa Park delivers the kind of scene that reminds you why restaurant settings matter.

The kitchen produces a menu of contemporary European cooking that draws on both Czech tradition and international technique without fully committing to either — a position that suits a restaurant serving both Praguers and visiting international guests. The yellowfin tuna tartare with mango, avocado, and yuzu dressing is the signature starter: precisely constructed, technically impeccable, and uncontroversial enough to function as a litmus test for the kitchen's technical level.

The Czech element arrives most convincingly in the game section: venison saddle with blackberry jus and celery root purée, wild boar terrine with mustard and pickled cherry, roast pheasant breast with Bohemian mushroom fricassee. The kitchen's relationship with Czech game hunters and foragers is the menu's most authentic thread.

The wine list is extensive and intelligently assembled across both Old and New World. The riverside terrace operates May through October and must be booked specifically; the indoor rooms, while comfortable, cannot replicate the terrace experience.

Best For: Impress Clients

Impress Clients: The setting alone carries significant weight in any business dinner calculation. When the bridge is lit and the river is moving and the cooking is this assured, the meal does the persuasion work on its own.
