About Le Panorama (Pakse Hotel)

Le Panorama is the only rooftop restaurant/bar in Pakse — with a beautiful setup on the rooftop, nice lounge music and a very relaxing atmosphere. Located on the 7th floor of the Pakse Hotel & Restaurant, the venue is perched to offer an amazing 360-degree panoramic vista of Pakse — the city skyline, the Mekong River, and the surrounding mountains. It's a great place to have afternoon drinks and enjoy the sunset.

There's a Happy Hour from 5pm to 6pm with a 20% discount on all drinks; the dinner service runs from 6pm to 10pm. The menu is a mix of Asian and Western dishes, with the Lao classics (Larb, Sticky Rice with Grilled Mekong Fish, Lao Red Curry) at $8-15 per dish, and the Western section (Pasta, Pizza, Continental Steaks) at $12-22. A meal of two mains and drinks for two runs $35-55.

The setting is the architectural set-piece. The rooftop has thirty open-air tables across the upper deck with a partial cover for rain, plus indoor air-conditioned seating for cold or rainy evenings. Sunset hour (5:30-6:30pm depending on season) is the prime dining time — the Mekong River reflects the orange of the dusk and the surrounding Bolaven Plateau mountains are silhouetted against the western sky. Capacity is fifty across the rooftop plus thirty in the indoor section.

Reservations matter for sunset window-view tables on weekend evenings; one week ahead is enough. The hotel concierge will arrange flowers, a private cake, and the post-dinner Mekong walk transfer with one phone call. The restaurant accepts cards and the staff speak Lao and strong English.
