About Little Llama Cafe

Little Llama Cafe sits just off the Mall Road in Mussoorie, on the gentle climb up through Landour Bazaar. The open-air seating opens onto a wide valley view, a relaxed perch above the hill-station bustle.

The kitchen runs from Tibetan momos to wood-fired pizza, with strong vegetarian and vegan options. It belongs in our Mussoorie coverage alongside our pizza picks as the town's most-loved casual cafe.

The Kitchen

The menu spans Tibetan, Thai, Korean and continental dishes, but two things stand out: authentic momos, steamed or fried, and the wood-fired pizzas that regulars rate the clear highlight. A hummus and falafel platter, hearty pastas and burgers fill out the savoury side, with thukpa for the cold afternoons.

For the sweet finish, the orange Cointreau cake, rum cake and carrot cake have a following, washed down with a peach iced tea made with real fruit. It is honest, generous cafe cooking at gentle prices.

The Room

The cafe is small and informal, with open-air seating angled to the valley and a warm, unhurried feel. It is the kind of place to settle in with a book and a pot of tea, or to refuel on the walk between Mussoorie and Landour.

There are no reservations - it is walk-in only and fills at weekends and in peak season, so come early for a table with the best view.

Best for a relaxed solo or casual meal

Little Llama Cafe suits a contented solo afternoon, an easy first date, or a low-key birthday treat with cake. For other Mussoorie tables, compare Emily's at Rokeby Manor, The Tavern or The Savoy.

Not for

Not for a formal dinner, a large group or anyone wanting to book ahead - it is a small, walk-in hill cafe that fills fast at weekends.
