About Azabu Miami Beach

Azabu Miami Beach opened on Ocean Drive in 2019 as the Miami flagship of the Azabu Global group (Tokyo, Milan, Ibiza). The front dining room seats 80 and runs a broad Japanese izakaya-plus-sushi menu; the back of the restaurant conceals the 10-seat 'Hiden' omakase counter (a separate booking and a separate experience).

The front-room menu covers the full Azabu programme: robata skewers, premium toro tartare, the signature crispy rice with spicy tuna, and the tempura-battered yuzu-lobster roll. Sushi omakase at the counter runs 14 pieces. À la carte dinners land $95-170 per person. The wine list has an unusually deep Japanese whisky programme (60 labels).

The Ocean Drive location reads tourist from the outside but the dining room inside is notably quieter and more senior than the Collins Avenue equivalents — the restaurant has quietly become a destination for the industry, the music scene, and the professional regulars who know about the Hiden counter in the back.

Best Occasion Fit

Azabu is a first-date room that rewards daters with a shared interest in Japanese food. The two-restaurant layout (front dining room plus hidden omakase) gives you an optional second act, and the Ocean Drive location provides an unforced after-dinner walk.
