The Verdict

re/Asian Cuisine sits on the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay's pool deck — a single-storey pavilion with a wraparound terrace that overlooks the hotel's infinity pool, the Bahrain Bay marina, and the western Manama skyline. The dining room runs across an indoor section (60 covers, with a 12-seat sushi counter at the back wall) and an outdoor terrace (40 covers, primarily used during the cooler October–April months).

The cooking is broad-spectrum pan-Asian — the kitchen runs three distinct stations: a Japanese sushi-and-sashimi counter (the strongest pillar; the chef trained at a sushi-ya in Roppongi), a Cantonese dim-sum-and-wok station (the truffle-and-foie-gras dumplings are the kitchen's most-ordered dim sum), and a Southeast Asian wok-and-curry section (the Thai green curry, the Vietnamese pho, and the Singaporean black-pepper crab). The black-cod miso is the standing reference dish across the menu.

The wine list is shared with CUT and runs to 600+ references; the sake program is the most serious in Bahrain. Pricing runs USD 130–220 per person without alcohol; the omakase at the sushi counter is USD 220 per person and is the kitchen's strongest expression. The room peaks at 9pm; the outdoor terrace is the most-photographed dining setting in the city.

Why It Works for First Date

First dates work at re/Asian because the room handles the work for you: the outdoor terrace at sunset is the most-photographed dining setting in Bahrain, the menu's family-style register (sushi, dim sum, shared mains) takes the pressure off ordering, and the pacing is unhurried. The 12-seat sushi counter is the alternative for a date that wants a more intentional, kitchen-facing format.

Signature Dishes

Black-cod miso; A5 wagyu sashimi; the truffle-and-foie gras dim sum; the matcha-and-yuzu cheesecake.
