Lucide occupies the third-floor restaurant space of the KKL Luzern — the Jean Nouvel-designed Cultural and Convention Centre at Europaplatz 1, on the lakefront immediately adjacent to the main railway station. The dining room is cantilevered over the lake and the views are among the best in the city.

Chef Michèle Meier earned the Michelin star within her first year leading the kitchen and has held it consistently. Her cooking is Modern Swiss with strong seasonal discipline — recent menus have featured ravioli with Glarus chestnut and apple, Pilatus-region veal with morels, and cod with Thai red curry and sweet potato (a nod to the Asian register that runs through several Lucerne kitchens).

The format is tasting menu only — a five-course at CHF 145 and a seven-course at CHF 195, with optional wine pairing. The wine programme leans Swiss (excellent Valais and Vaud representation) with serious French and Italian backbone.

The room takes around fifty covers across a single open dining space, with floor-to-ceiling windows on the lake side and views across to the Old Town and Mount Pilatus. Service is professional and warm. Closed Sunday and Monday; check Lucerne Festival schedule for evenings when the surrounding KKL is busy.
