About Frog by Adam Handling

Frog by Adam Handling is the Covent Garden flagship of Handling's restaurant group and has held one Michelin star since 2020. The kitchen runs a serious zero-waste programme — trimmings, peels, bones, and off-cuts are built into secondary dishes and the bar list — and the tasting menu leans hard on British seasonal produce with a strong fermentation thread.

The dining room is polished but playful: framed doodles by Handling himself, warm wood, banquettes that work well for small groups, and an open pass at the back that gives the kitchen its stage presence. Service is Michelin-professional but more animated than the Mayfair average.

The signature cheese course arrives on its own trolley with more than a dozen British and European selections; the bar programme, which won a Michelin green star for sustainability in 2022, is worth arriving early for.

Best Occasion Fit

Frog is a birthday dinner choice for guests who enjoy a restaurant with personality. The cooking is Michelin-serious but the room refuses to take itself too seriously, which makes it a better fit for celebrations than the more formal hotel dining rooms nearby in Mayfair and St James's.
