About Claude Bosi at Bibendum

Claude Bosi at Bibendum occupies the first floor of the 1911 Michelin House on Fulham Road — a stained-glass Art Nouveau masterpiece that functions as a dining room by way of architectural accident. Bosi, a Lyonnais chef who previously ran Hibiscus in Mayfair, took over the Bibendum kitchen in 2017 and led it to its second Michelin star in 2019.

The cooking is classical-French with seasonal British produce — Cornish turbot poached in beurre blanc, Anjou pigeon, rum baba finished tableside. The a la carte is deep and the menu gourmand (tasting) runs eight courses. Portions are substantial in the French rather than the contemporary-minimalist tradition, which makes the restaurant an unusually satisfying three-hour dinner.

The wine list is one of London's most distinguished — a particular strength in mature Bordeaux and Burgundy, with a sommelier team that can handle serious wine conversations at the level a deal-closing dinner often requires. Service is formal but genuinely warm, a combination that works especially well for dinners where the food matters but the conversation matters more.

Best Occasion Fit

Deal-closing dinners at Claude Bosi Bibendum benefit from a dining room that impresses without distracting. The stained-glass setting gives the evening gravity; the classical French service cadence supports three-hour conversations; and the wine programme offers enough depth to reward the order of a serious bottle without being the centrepiece.
