About Mindanos
Mindanos is an F-6 Markaz Mediterranean gem — the boutique restaurant in the heart of the F-6 commercial centre that has built a reputation for transporting diners to the Mediterranean coast through charming villa-style ambience and meticulous attention to detail. The restaurant occupies a two-floor building with the indoor dining room downstairs and the cosy upstairs section that doubles as the private-dining room for celebrations.
The menu is the Mediterranean-coast canon. The signatures are the whole grilled sea bass with lemon-and-herb stuffing, the seafood linguine with prawns and mussels in white-wine sauce, the slow-cooked lamb tagine with apricots and almonds, and the Mediterranean mixed-grill (lamb, chicken, and prawns with Mediterranean rice and grilled vegetables). The kitchen also runs a strong Italian section with the wood-fired pizza and the pasta classics. A two-course dinner for two runs PKR 7,500-10,500 ($28-40).
The room is the immersive-Mediterranean set-piece. White-washed walls with hanging copper cookware, Mediterranean-blue-and-white tile accents, dim warm lighting, white-tablecloth service, and Mediterranean-Italian background music create the holiday-on-the-Med rhythm that the F-6 clientele books for the proper birthday-and-anniversary dinners.
Reservations matter for the weekend evenings and the upstairs private-dining room; three-to-five days ahead is enough. The restaurant accepts cards, and the post-dinner walk through the F-6 Super Market or the F-6 Kohsar Market is the conventional close.
Best Occasion Fit
For birthdays, Mindanos is the F-6 anniversary-dinner standby — the upstairs private-dining room handles groups of eight-to-twelve, and the kitchen will plate a birthday cake. As a first date the Mediterranean-coast immersion plays well without going touristy. For solo dining, the bar-table section and the prompt waitstaff make a single-cover Mediterranean dinner properly comfortable.
