About Bidri

Bidri is the signature contemporary-Indian fine-dining room of the Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre — the large-format business-and-conference property on Tank Bund Road, facing Hussain Sagar Lake and the Buddha statue on its island. The restaurant takes its name from Bidri, the distinctive silver-and-copper-inlaid metalcraft of the Deccan region, and the interior aesthetic plays on that tradition — inlaid wall panels, dark metal detailing, and considered modern-Indian table service.

The menu runs a regional-Indian tasting programme across eight courses, covering the subcontinent from the Gujarati west through the Awadhi north, the Hyderabadi Deccan, and the Chettinad south. Individual à la carte ordering is the alternative; the tasting menu is the better argument for what the kitchen can do. Signature plates include the Hyderabadi kacche gosht biryani (a different register from the Adaa version but at a technical level comparable), a Chettinad chicken preparation, and a considered Gujarati vegetarian thali as a dedicated course.

The dining room sits on the upper floor of the Marriott's convention-wing tower with a full view across Hussain Sagar Lake. The setting is dramatic — particularly at sunset when the lake is framed in gold — and photographs well for a celebration booking. Service is Marriott-standard polished, the wine list is shorter than ITC's but competent, and the tasting-menu format supports a relaxed two-hour dinner.

For a business dinner with a Hyderabad-based counterpart — particularly if the counterpart is staying at the Marriott or nearby — Bidri is the natural booking: it sits inside a property your client already knows, the tasting menu delivers a full regional-Indian story, and the price tier reads as generous without the palace-level formality of Adaa.

Why It's Perfect for Close a Deal

Bidri is the close-the-deal reservation at the Marriott business-hotel end of Hyderabad's dining scene — a regional-Indian tasting menu that reads as considered across eight courses, a Hussain Sagar Lake view that carries the setting, and a price tier that lands between the ITC and the Taj Falaknuma options without compromising on either kitchen seriousness or service level. For a deal-close dinner, the tasting-menu format is the efficient order; book the window two-top facing the lake directly with the hotel concierge five to seven days ahead.
