The villa holds three connected dining pavilions across the garden complex; the main pavilion seats twenty-four covers, the mid-pavilion seats twelve, and the river-terrace pavilion at the rear (with a full view of the Huong/Perfume River across a short garden) seats eight and is the specific request at booking for a birthday or small celebration.

Service is polished and English-competent. The restaurant handles cake, champagne-toast, and birthday-candle requests with forty-eight hours' notice, and the garden setting photographs well for any celebration. Reservation lead time is five days for weekend dinner; the river-terrace pavilion benefits from a two-week lead time in high season.

Ancient Hue is the birthday reservation in Hue because the garden-villa setting, the artistically-plated royal menu, and the intimate scale (a single pavilion for a party of eight) combine to produce a celebration that is specifically-of-Hue rather than a generic anniversary dinner.
