The Room
Eight Row Flint opened in the Heights in 2016 — a gastropub-bar dedicated to the proposition that the neighbourhood needed a serious whiskey-and-tequila destination. The dining room is intentionally relaxed: a long bar, communal-leaning seating, an open kitchen at the back.
Eater Houston has held Eight Row Flint on its top-Heights rankings every year of operation.
The Food
The kitchen runs gastropub-classic — the burger, the wood-grilled tacos, the seasonal-rotating bar bites. The whiskey-and-tequila programme is the room's centre of gravity.
Whiskey programme runs over 200 bottlings. Tequila programme is one of the Heights' deepest. Beer programme runs Texas craft.
