Vasaqa Smokehouse is the Fijian-fusion dining room — opened in Nadi's Namaka Market quarter and grown to a serious Fijian-fusion programme that has catered for large-scale productions like Survivor: Fiji. The restaurant runs the most distinctive contemporary Fijian-fusion programme in the country.
The cuisine is contemporary Fijian fusion. Signatures include 8-to-10-hour Fijian-style roasts with the diner's choice of root vegetables; a palusami pasta (a Fijian-Italian fusion of taro-leaf-and-coconut palusami served as a pasta sauce); sizzling pork gyozas; a Fijian green-tailed lobster; a Fijian-tuna tataki.
The wine list runs to 150 references with Australian, New Zealand and French Champagne coverage.
The dining room and outdoor terrace together hold seventy-two covers.
