About Elements Deli Restaurant Lounge

Elements opened in 2012 on Königsbrücker Straße in Dresden's Neustadt district and earned its first Michelin star in the 2025 Guide. Husband-and-wife team Martina Starovičová-Mießner (pastry, service) and Stephan Mießner (kitchen) run the operation — an unusual fully-family format for a starred German kitchen.

The cooking draws from classical European tradition with a pronounced Mediterranean emphasis. The à la carte format is unusual for a starred German restaurant — most dishes are available outside of the tasting menu, including the signature beef tartare with smoked almonds and the lobster-and-saffron risotto. The five-course chef's menu runs at €110; a seven-course extended version at €165.

The space is split between three operating modes — a daytime deli (lunch-focused, €20-35), the main evening restaurant (the tasting-menu format), and an adjacent lounge/bar that runs later into the evening with small plates and an extensive cocktail programme. The format is popular with regular diners who know they can return at multiple price points.

The wine programme favours Italian and Spanish producers — a reflection of the Mediterranean cooking — with Nebbiolo, Super Tuscan, Ribera, and Priorat well-represented. Mießner's pairings are €65 (five-course) and €110 (seven-course); the by-the-glass selection rotates monthly.
