About CIBO

CIBO opened on Rue Musette in 2018 under chef Angelo Ferrigno — the youngest chef in France at the time to earn a Michelin star (awarded in 2020, retained 2021-2026). Ferrigno works within a strict 200-kilometre supply rule: no ingredient is allowed into the kitchen if it travels further than that radius.

The rule shapes the menu completely. No olive oil (butter from Bresse instead). No citrus (cider vinegar, verjuice, and pickled Burgundy rhubarb are the acidulants). No tuna or bluefin (Saône pike-perch, Loire sturgeon, and Lake Annecy char occupy the fish courses). The discipline produces an unusually coherent seasonal arc — the menu changes visibly every fortnight.

The restaurant offers a five-course tasting at €75 (the best-value Michelin-starred dinner in Dijon) and a seven-course extended version at €125. Pairings run €55 and €95 and draw from a 400-reference cellar built almost entirely from Burgundy with a small Jura and Savoie section — every wine within the supply radius.

The dining room seats 28 across a ground-floor street-level room and a basement 10-seat chef's counter. The counter — where Ferrigno cooks service himself — is the best solo-dining seat in Burgundy. Book it at 19:30 for a quieter first-seating.

Why It's Perfect for First Date

CIBO is Dijon's solo-dining Michelin-starred restaurant. The basement chef's counter removes any awkwardness of dining alone, the 200-km rule is a genuine conversation starter, and the €75 five-course format is short enough for a single diner to feel welcome rather than marooned. For first dates, the ground-floor two-tops are intimate without being tight; for birthdays, Ferrigno will personalise a final course with two days' notice.
