About Terre
Terre is Cork's only two-Michelin-starred restaurant and the ceiling of fine dining on the south coast of Ireland. The 24-seat room sits inside the restored Manor House at Castlemartyr Resort, a 17th-century estate forty-five minutes east of Cork city. The project opened in September 2022 and earned its first Michelin star within six months; the second arrived a year later. Both stars were retained in the 2026 Guide.
The menu is built around head chef Lewis Barker's zero-waste philosophy and a supplier map that barely leaves County Cork. Union Hall crab, Achill lamb, Ummera smoked salmon, Fermoyle pottery for the tableware, bespoke Irish oak furniture by Modet in Kinsale. Dinner unfolds across three rooms — the preserving room lined with glass jars of pickles and ferments, the salon for an aperitif, and the main dining room with its open kitchen and wood grill. The progression takes roughly three and a half hours.
Wine pairings range from an €82 tea pairing developed with a Taiwanese sommelier, through a €132 standard flight, to a €1,155 prestige accord anchored in biodynamic Burgundy and Champagne. The tea pairing has become Terre's signature — a genuine non-alcoholic alternative that holds against the food rather than replacing it with fruit juice.
Dinner runs €220 per person for the set menu. Friday and Saturday lunch is offered in three-course (€110) or four-course (€145) formats — the highest-value way to experience the kitchen. Reservations open eight weeks out via tablepath.com.
