The Room
Plaza Mayor opened in Monserrat in 1972 — a senior Galician-Spanish institution. Fifty-three years later the room is one of central Buenos Aires's longest-running Spanish destinations.
The dining room is intentionally taverna-warm: exposed brick, white linens, the open paella kitchen visible from every table.
The Food
The kitchen runs Galician-Spanish preparations — seafood-and-paella programme, octopus, the seasonal-rotating Spanish secondi.
Wine programme is Spanish and Argentine. Cocktails are aperitivi-led.
