About Jacala
Jacala is the French-Caribbean dining institution of chef Alain Laurent. Opened in 2008 on Meads Bay. And is the island's longest-running French dining room. Laurent trained in Burgundy and at La Bourgogne in Saint-Martin.
The cuisine is contemporary French-Caribbean. Signatures include a Caribbean-lobster bisque with chablis; a slow-cooked Caribbean goat à la française; a hand-cut Caribbean tuna tartare with passionfruit; a wood-fired Caribbean snapper; the famous 'tarte au coco' for the dessert course.
The wine list runs to 250 references with deep French Champagne and Burgundy coverage.
The dining room and beachfront terrace together hold seventy-two covers.
Why It's Perfect for First Date
Jacala is the easy first-date room in Anguilla. Quieter than Blanchards, less formal than Straw Hat, and the French-Caribbean register is genuinely distinctive. Book the corner two-top.
